Bronx resident Jason Gonzalez was charged earlier today with attempted murder and nine other offenses related to the shooting of Arizona forward Kevin Parrom.
Gonzalez, 19, was arraigned Sunday and faces a pretrial hearing on Wednesday in Bronx Supreme Court. He is being detained at Vernon C. Bain Center in Bronx. He has pleaded not guilty.
The incident occured on September 24, 2011, and Parrom returned to Tuscon three days after the shooting to begin rehabilitation. The Wildcats have not released specific information about Parrom’s injury, just that they will have a better idea of everything (including his potential return to basketball) in about a month.
