On Sunday, July 25, 2021, at approximately 0228 hours, police responded to a call of a person, shot opposite of 589 E. 164th Street, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 38-year-old male victim was seated in the passenger’s seat of his friend’s Honda, when an unknown male approached and started shooting into the vehicle, striking the victim in the head.
The male was transported to Lincoln Hospital by private means, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 38-year-old male individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed incident.

- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
