On Monday, December 13, 2021, at 1710 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision at 1st Avenue and 76th Street, within the confines of the 19th Precinct in Manhattan.
Preliminary investigation determined that the operator of a Jiajue scooter, a 31-year-old male, traveling northbound on 1st Avenue in the left lane, struck a parked 2019 Freightliner Box Truck.
The operator of the e-bike was transported to New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
