An allegedly drunken driver who hit and killed two New York men changing a tire on a New Jersey highway early yesterday has been charged with vehicular homicide.
Jacob Cintron, 29, of Lodi, NJ, was being held in the Bergen County Jail last night in lieu of $125,000 bail.
State Police say Wilfredo Pena, of Bronx, was driving on I-80 in Saddle Brook when he got a flat at about 2:30 a.m. He stopped beside the road between Exits 62B and 62A, and he and Segundo Fernandez-Urena, 28, of Bay Shore, LI, got out to change the tire.
Cintron was headed for Exit 62B when he lost control of his vehicle.
