The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male depicted in the attached video and photographs, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an attempted rape that occurred within the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

The details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 0940 hours, at a residential building on Elliot Place, a 28-year-old female victim was followed into her apartment by an unknown individual who, once inside, proceeded to push the victim against a wall, attempted to cover her mouth and further attempted to pull down her pants, before the victim screamed, alerting a family member who was in the apartment at the time. The female’s family member confronted the male, who fled the location in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained a slight laceration to the face and refused medical treatment at the scene.

The person wanted for questioning is described as a male, Black, approximately 5’5″ tall, weighing 150 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair in braids; last seen wearing a black hat, white sneakers, a blue and black top and orange pants.
