The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the following individual, wanted in connection to an attempted rape within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
The following has been reported to police.
On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at approximately 01:45 a.m., the individual approached the 22 year-old female victim in the vicinity of E. 189 Street and Belmont Avenue and put her in a chokehold. The individual proceeded to drag her for approximately one (1) block, but fled after being challenged by a Good Samaritan.
The individual is described as follows:
- male, approximately 5’7″, approximately 190 lbs.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at approximately 11:30 hours, a 37-year-old male was taken into custody in connection with the below listed incident. Charges are pending.
