Yoga is one of the world’s most popular physical activities. There are a number of reasons for this; it can be done at home, it requires no specialist equipment, and it can be enjoyed by people of all backgrounds and ability levels.

Yoga can help keep us fit and healthy, but it also has a spiritual side, one that practitioners around the world are becoming increasingly aware of. What is the link between yoga and astral projection? Find out here.

Astral Projection

Before we can understand the connection between astral projection and yoga, first we need to learn what astral projection actually is.

People who astral project have an out-of-body experience. They leave their physical body behind and are in control of their non-physical consciousness. It can be an incredibly profound and spiritual experience and has long been linked to mysticism and religion.

Meditation and astral projection are closely related. To astral project, you must be completely relaxed and at ease, a frame of mind which is usually achieved through meditation.

How are Astral Projection and Yoga Connected?

When we think of yoga, we imagine strange poses and contortionist-like body positions. While yoga is certainly about stretching and manipulating the body, it is also about taking things slowly and learning how to relax.

In this regard, yoga can be viewed as a form of meditation. In fact, studies have shown that it can offer us much the same in the way of benefits. It promotes a sense of well-being and a more positive mental state.

What does this have to do with astral projection? Well, as we mentioned earlier, astral projection is only possible by first achieving a totally calm and relaxed mental state. While many people choose to use traditional meditation to reach this state, yoga is proving to be an increasingly popular alternative.

How to Astral Project Through Yoga

Before you can think of successfully astral projecting through yoga, first you’re going to need to take the time to learn about the art of yoga and incorporate its teachings and its philosophies into your everyday life.

Read all you can about yoga, and watch plenty of videos (you will find lots online). It is not just about practising yoga a few times a week, you need to fully adopt the principles if you want to unlock its true power.

Don’t expect to jump in straight away and be able to astral project immediately. It takes time and practice. When you start doing yoga, you will enjoy the health and fitness benefits the activity can offer you, but it will take a while for you to be able to reach the state of inner zen required for astral projection.

Conclusion

Many people do not realise it, but astral projection and yoga are closely related. The two can seem disparate; one is an activity focused on the physical body, while the other concerns the mind. However, there are long-standing links between the two, and the state of inner peace yoga can help us reach is the perfect platform from which to astral project.
