On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. will host his annual Puerto Rican Heritage & Culture Celebration, honoring individuals who have contributed to the growth and promotion of their community and culture.

This year honorees include María Román Dumén – co-founder, former president, and current honorary member of the National Puerto Rican Day Parade; Dr. Jose Rodriguez, M.D.; and Shawn “Pecas” Costner – Women’s Football League Association (WFLA) President and former Former Roc Nation EVP.

The event will take place at Shanghai Red, and will be co-hosted by New York Mets Content Creator & the first Latina public address announcer in Major League Baseball history Marysol Castro.
