A 16-year-old boy was in stable condition after being shot in the torso on Morris Avenue in Mott Haven Friday evening, March 29, 2013, authorities said.
The unidentified youth was rushed to Lincoln Hospital about 5:45 p.m., where he was listed in stable condition, according to Fire Department officials.
The shooting occurred at 370 Morris Avenue near E. 142nd Street, across the street from the Melrose Houses and near Bronx Academy of Letters high school.
Police had no immediate information on the cause of the shooting.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
