On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 1250 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 749 E. 187th Street, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers discovered victim #1, a 16-year-old male, lying on the ground with a gunshot wounds to his chest and to the back of his head.
EMS responded to the location and transported the male victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
At approximately 1317 hours, police responded to St. Barnabas Hospital for a 911 call of a past assault.
Upon arrival at the hospital, officers discovered victim #2, a 23-year-old male, who was being treated for gunshot wounds to his left arm and right foot.
A preliminary investigation revealed that victim #1 and victim #2 were in front of 749 E. 187th Street, when two unidentified males exited a grey Honda Accord, approached the victims with handguns and fired multiple rounds, striking the victims.
The unidentified males re-entered the Honda and fled westbound on E. 187th Street.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 21-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 0100 hours, within the confines of the 48th Precinct.
Bronx, NY 10468
- attempted murder;
- criminal use of a firearm (2 counts);
- criminal possession of a weapon (2 counts);
- criminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm (2 counts).
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
