The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip and photograph in connection to a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Tuesday November 03, 2020, at approximately 1630 hours, inside of 1188 Webster Avenue (Met Fresh Supermarket), the two individuals took bars of soap from a shelf and concealed it inside of the female suspect’s purse. When the individuals tried to exit the store without paying for the items, they were confronted by two store employees. The two individuals fought with the employees and the male individual cut the two employees with an unknown sharp object.
The 38-year-old male employee suffered a laceration to his right hand and the 56-year-old male employee received a laceration to his right elbow; both were treated at the scene by EMS.
The property was recovered and the two individuals fled the scene on foot southbound on Webster Avenue.
The first individual is a male, Hispanic, who wore a dark colored knitted cap, a black mask over his face, a red, white and blue jacket, blue jeans and dark colored sneakers.
The second individual is a female, Hispanic, who wore a white coat, multi-colored pants and she carried a black purse.
