When people see the caloric measures on menu items, instead of being shocked, they are not affected at all or have become desensitized. The more people remain uneducated, the more prevalent diabetes will become in the Bronx.
“The Seminar will be interesting, educational and free,” said Daniel Seidler, WSPT’s owner. Sharon Sathuthiti, WSPT’s Wellness Program Coordinator adds, “The Bronx was deemed the unhealthiest city in all of New York State as per the Daily News. This is why we are taking action and delivering nutritional advice and services to promote health and longevity. We have taken it upon ourselves to make the Bronx one of the most successful cities in all of New York State in battling diabetes and therefore decreasing its prevalence starting now. Please join us in releasing the Bronx from this stigma!” And because WSPT is a physical therapy practice as well as a Wellness center, they are offering in addition to the free admission, an introduction to the Transitions Lifestyle System, reduced gym membership and Boot Camp!
The Free Diabetes Seminar will take place on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Attendees are welcomed to bring guests to the WSPT facility located in Suite 501 at 1250 Waters Place in the Bronx.
WSPT is dedicated to providing world-class care right around the corner. Seminars are given frequently throughout the year because the goal of WSPT is to promote health and wellness, both for the individual and for the whole Bronx community.
