A piece of industrial construction equipment tumbled off a tractor trailer and struck a passing charter bus on a Bronx highway Thursday.

The bizarre crash on the Major Deegan Expressway left 20 people with minor injuries.

The bus was heading north when the piece of construction equipment slammed into it near Exit 14 by Van Cortlandt Park about 1:30 p.m., cops said.

All northbound lanes were shut down for more than an hour as cops investigated and work crews picked up debris.
