On Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at approximately 2236 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress within the vicinity of a Bank of America located near the corner of Pelham Parkway and White Plains Road, within the confines of the 49th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 43-year-old female complaining of pain to her leg and ankle, stating that she encountered three individuals who, upon initial encounter, argued with her before assaulting her and throwing her to the ground, causing the injury to her leg. During the course of this altercation, the victim had her cell phone removed from her person.
EMS responded to the location, treated and released the victim.
On Friday, February 21, 2020, at approximately 0552 hours, the victim was discovered, unconscious and unresponsive, within her residence, where she subsequently pronounced deceased by EMS.

The investigation remains ongoing.
