The Bronx River Alliance welcomes Anthony Martinez, newly appointed as Bronx River Administrator for the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
Elena Conte continues her work as Interim Executive Director for the Bronx River Alliance. As we search for a permanent Executive Director, Elena will continue leading the work of Alliance staff and volunteers to restore and protect the River, provide recreational and educational opportunities for Bronxites, and to develop the next generation of Environmental Justice leaders. We look forward to working closely with Anthony in our longstanding and continued partnership with the Parks Deparment.
About the Bronx River Alliance
The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river. We work in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor. Our goal is to make a healthy ecological, recreational, educational, and economic resource for all communities through which the river flows.
The Alliance works in close partnership with the New York City Parks as well as dozens of community-based partners, regional nonprofits, businesses and all levels of government.
