The Storefront Academy South Bronx and Harlem charter schools are proud to be hosting a fun filled day of events at our Back to School Jam being held Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 609 Jackson Avenue in Bronx.
Our event will include many events including a live DJ, a barber to cut boys hair, giveaways such as backpacks, pencils, crayons, and we will have face painting for the kids! This event was created to get students excited about the upcoming school year and to gain more parental involvement.
Storefront Academy Charter Schools mainly serve students who live in economically disadvantaged housing areas within the South Bronx and Harlem areas. Many times parents cannot afford school supplies, clothing, shoes, and more in order to help with their academic progress throughout the school year. We are asking for your help by sponsoring our event with services, items, clothing, information for Parents, Students and more.

About Storefront Academy
Since its founding in 1966, the Children’s Storefront changed countless lives, positively impacted the educational landscape and provided incredible opportunity and infinite possibilities for the children of East Harlem. In 1981, Storefront Academy Harlem emerged as a tuition-free private school serving students Pre-K-8. In 2015, Storefront opened its first charter school in South Bronx. Storefront closed its private school in 2018 and will open its second charter in East Harlem in August 2019.
The mission of Storefront Academy Charter Schools (SACS) is to provide children of varied academic strengths a quality education option that, prepares them academically, socially and emotionally to become critical thinkers, high-achieving students, and well-rounded individuals.
