About The D.O.M.E. Experience

The D.O.M.E. Experience events are all individually produced and inspired around diverse socio-poltical issues such as climate change, ecosystems, and current political trends... Interdisciplinary and cross-genre, it is designed to engage audiences on multiple artistic platforms - aurally through music and spoken word as well as visually and kinesthetically through integrated choreographic video art and dance collaborations. The live music component is flexible and can consist of various ensemble configurations ranging from Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra (40-50 instrumentalists) to a Chamber Ensemble (13-20 instrumentalists). About Co-Lab

The BxMA Co-Lab commission is meant to support dance and the interdisciplinary development of dance within collaborative projects. This, along with other funding is a potential way to expand the dance already incorporated into your work a well as develop/support your concepts overall. Also, to deeper engage our community within your work, BxMA exhibitions and performative public programs.

BxMA Co-Lab is a dance-led commission program involving experimental ensembles, collectives, and choreographers whose practices are firmly grounded in socio-political issues, and have interdisciplinary collaboration as a core and integrated part of their work. The goal of Co-Lab is to provide financial and institutional support to artists whose work challenge boundaries, takes risks and that work outside of the status quo.

BxMA Co-Lab is made possible by the generous support of the Mertz Gilmore Foundation. Additional support for The D.O.M.E. Experience is provided by The Bronx Council on the Arts, The Puffin Foundation, and CERN, Inc.
