On Thursday, February 13, 2020, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr., in conjunction with Healthfirst and Duane Reade | Walgreens, co-hosted the “13th Annual Bronx Sweetheart Luncheon,” at Villa Barone Manor, honoring over 70 couples who have been married 30 years or more.
The event honors the couples with a lunch alongside the opportunity to dance, listening to great music and to interact with all attenders, as they celebrate their love union on Valentine’s Day.
“My favorite way of spending Valentine’s Day is here, with these great married couples, at the ‘The Annual Bronx Sweetheart Luncheon,'” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. “The couples who attend this event are setting such a great and powerful example for future generations. These couples are living proof that love conquers all. I am very proud to celebrate their long-term unions at this wonderful St. Valentines event that honors the power of love.”
