The Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) will host its 13th Annual Neighborhood Festival on Friday, June 12, 2026, bringing together hundreds of families, residents, and community partners from across the Northwest Bronx for a free afternoon of entertainment, activities, food, and community engagement.
The outdoor celebration will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 3101 Kingsbridge Terrace, Bronx, NY 10463, and will feature a wide range of family-friendly attractions and performances designed to celebrate community spirit and neighborhood unity.
Festival attendees will enjoy a Double Dutch competition, a special performance by the SONYC @ ISLA Dance Crew, bounce houses, tie-dye stations, pot-a-plant activities, mask decorating, balloon animals, read-aloud activities, a photo booth, and free food throughout the event.
Now in its 13th year, the Neighborhood Festival remains one of KHCC’s longest-running annual traditions and reflects the organization’s continued commitment to providing free, accessible, and family-centered programming for Bronx residents. For more than 52 years, KHCC has served the community through educational, recreational, and social service initiatives aimed at strengthening families and neighborhoods across the borough.
The festival is expected to draw residents of all ages and will also provide opportunities for attendees to connect with local community-based organizations and access valuable neighborhood resources and services.
The event is free and open to the public.
The location is accessible via the Bx1, Bx2, Bx3, and Bx9 bus lines, as well as the 1 and 4 subway trains.
Additional information about the festival is available at KHCC Neighborhood Festival event page here.
About Kingsbridge Heights Community Center
The Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) was founded in 1974 by a group of passionate community organizers. The group was led by three neighborhood women: Mary McLoughlin, Patricia Burns, and Janet Athanasidy.
Upon hearing in 1972 that the 50th Precinct was moving out of its turn-of-the-century building on Kingsbridge Terrace, the three jumped at the opportunity to realize their vision for a community center.
KHCC provides resources to empower Bronx residents from cradle to career to advance education and well-being for a vibrant community. We achieve this in an environment that fosters academic milestones, literacy, mental health support, nutrition, technology, and the arts.
