Retired Bronx Supreme Court Justice Gerald Sheindlin says he is to play a jurist in a pilot for a new TV dramedy series called “Erroneous Convictions.”

Sheindlin, 77, has been married to “Judge Judy” star Judy Sheindlin for 34 years.

“I ran it by my wife. She said she liked the script very much. So I’m back,” Gerald Sheindlin, who also previously served as a judge on TV’s “The People’s Court” from 1999 to 2001, told the New York Daily News.

“I was surprised by the tone of [‘Erroneous Convictions’] and the fact that it was somewhat unique,”
Sheindlin said about the new show, which was co-written by Michael Schiavone and former Bronx Assistant District Attorney Bruce Birns.

“I’m happy Judy’s letting him out of the house to retake the bench,” Birns told the newspaper.
