An 80-year-old man was left in critical condition Thursday evening after being struck by a bus in the Bronx.
The FDNY EMS stated the man was pinned under the wheels of the bus before he was rescued.
Details of what led to the incident were not immediately clear, but police said it happened shortly after 09:00 p.m. at E. 147th Street and Vyse Avenue in the East Tremont section of the Bronx.
The man was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center, the FDNY said.
There were no other reported injuries.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
