A 63-year-old man was found fatally bludgeoned next to a shovel in his Bronx apartment on Thursday night, police said.
Relatives found Elvin Ramirez in his Grand Concourse home near E. 182nd Street at 6:00 p.m., cops said.
There was blood all over and a pile of clothes on his body. He was face up, his head was bleeding. There was a shovel next to his head, it was the weapon.
Cops were searching for Ramirez’s roommate, who relatives knew only as Armando.
The victim, who was disabled and did not work, and his roommate of 21/2 months had been quarreling the night before because the roommate was not paying rent.
The two had gotten into a drunken fight at Taco Puebla, a restaurant on the ground floor of their building where the roommate was a delivery man, according to eatery owner, Francisco Castelan, 35.
