Police say a man was slashed in the head at a Bronx subway station Tuesday afternoon.

The slashing on the southbound D-train platform at the 167^th Street station shut down the station for some time as police investigated.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in serious condition, according to fire officials.
