The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip and photographs, who is wanted in connection to an attempted robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at approximately 1605 hours, in front of a gas station located at 1029 Washington Avenue, the victim, a 56-year-old male attendant, was working at the gas pumps when he was approached by an unknown individual who forcibly removed $200 cash from his pocket. The victim then grabbed the money back from the individual, recovering all $200.
The individual fled the location in a vehicle traveling southbound on Washington Avenue.
The victim was not injured.
The individual is described as a male, Black, approximately 30 years of age, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build and short black hair.
He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, tan boots and carrying a black jacket with fur lining.
