The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following person, who has been reported missing from, and resides within the confines of the 49th Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that Yanel Melendez was last seen leaving his residence on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at approximately 8:25 p.m.
The missing is described as a 14-year-old male, Hispanic, approximately 5’7″ tall, weighing 160 lbs.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
