A Bronx supermarket was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after the ceiling started to cave in and the roof showed signs of buckling.

It happened at the Pioneer Supermarket on Cypress Avenue at around noon. The supermarket’s manager called 911 after he saw ceiling tiles falling down.

The building was evacuated and by the time the FDNY arrived, they noticed the roof was visibly sagging.
