On Thursday, August 29, 2019 at approximately 0230 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male along the right travel lane of the eastbound Cross Bronx Expressway near the exit ramp to the White Plains Road exit in the confines of the 43 precinct in Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified adult male in his 20’s, unconscious and unresponsive on the roadway, with trauma about the body.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the aided male deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation has determined that a 2013 Peterbilt Dump Truck was traveling in the center lane of the eastbound Cross Bronx Expressway when it struck the pedestrian and continued eastbound. The vehicle did not remain at the location, there are no arrests.
