Police Search For Missing Woman With Schizophrenia

Police are searching for a woman reported missing from her Bronx home.

Elizabeth Simms, 65, was last seen in Leroy Pharmacy around 12:00 p.m. Friday, less than a mile north of her home on Beach and Watson avenues.

Officials say Simms suffers from Schizophrenia and may be in need of medical attention.

Simms is described as a heavy-set woman, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds.

Police say she has brown eyes and gray hair and was last seen wearing a medium black coat.

Residents are asked to call police with any information about Simms’ whereabouts.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
