Around 5:50 p.m. this past Tuesday, the suspects followed the woman into her apartment building on Longfellow Avenue, in the Tremont section of the Bronx, and demanded her purse, police said.

The woman refused, and the suspects knocked her to the floor and caused her to hit her head, police said.

The suspects ran off, police said. The victim suffered a laceration to her head and was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center, where she was treated and released, police said.
