On Sunday, April 13, 2025, at approximately 0447 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a person, shot in front of 226 Quincy Street, within the confines of the 45th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male victim with two gunshot wounds to his chest.

EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where the victim was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 25-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 0800 hours, within the confines of the 45th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a firearm.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 1530 hours, within the confines of the 45th Precinct

Charges:

  • attempted murder;
  • attempted manslaughter.

The investigation remains ongoing.
