On Monday, May 15, 2023 at approximately 1733 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 1303 Common Wealth Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed an 18-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the torso.
EMS responded and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 23-year-old male individual was arrested and charged at 1230 hours on Friday, June 21, 2024, within the confines of the 43 Precinct.

The investigation remains ongoing.
