Jeffrey Jorge, 32, Arrested For The Murder Of Rashaun Shettlewood, 32

On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at approximately 1534 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of two (2) males, assaulted in the vicinity of Davidson Avenue and West Tremont Avenue, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest and a 33-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to the torso.

EMS responded and transported both victims to St. Barnabas Hospital, where the 32-year-old male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The 33-year-old male is listed in stable condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 32-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on August 27, 2026, at 1300 hours, within the confines of the 46th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • assault, 2 counts;
  • attempted murder;
  • criminal possession of a weapon, 2 counts.

The investigation remains ongoing.
