On Saturday, September 03, 2022, at approximately 0559 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, assaulted in front of 2507 Cruger Avenue, within the confines of the 49th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 65-year-old male, lying on the sidewalk, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma about the head.
EMS responded to the location and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
The invident had been deemed a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the folowing 33-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Friday, November 04, 2022, at 1750 hours, within the confines of the 49 Precinct.

- assault;
- menacing;
- attempted murder;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
