On Sunday, May 24, 2026, at approximately 2136 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 360 E. 161st Street, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, a 34-year-old male was discovered with a gunshot wound to the back.
EMS responded and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
