The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip and photograph in connection to an attempted robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 41st Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Friday, June 12, 2020, at approximately 0820 hours, inside of 1131 West Farms Road (Salgado Superette), the individual approached the 56-year-old female employee at the counter, displayed a sharp object and demanded she open the cash register.

The employee refused and the individual fled the scene on foot westbound on E. 167th Street.

The individual is described as a dark-skinned male with a blue mask over his face; last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and black sneakers.

A surveillance video clip and a photograph of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
