The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is wanted in connection to a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 40th Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday July 11, 2021, at approximately 0040 hours, inside of a northbound + train, the individual approached the 48-year-old male victim and asked to borrow his cellphone. When the victim produced his phone, the individual told him to give it over to him along with his wallet. The individual then took the victim’s phone and wallet.

He ran off the train at the 3rd Avenue / 138th Street station and fled to the street.

The individual is described as a male, Black, in his 20s, 6’0″ tall; last seen wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans and black sneakers.

A surveillance video clip of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
