New York City is suffering a blood emergency! Blood donors are urgently needed!
Join the Hebrew Institute Of Riverdale – The Bayit as we pay tribute to the victims of 9/11 and 10/7 and we honor a distinguished community member, Jeffrey Moerdler. As an Emergency Medical Technician, the Co-President / Chief of Riverdale Hatzalah, a long time blood donor, and a post-October 7th MDA / Hatzalah Medical teams volunteer in Israel, Jeff’s legendary dedication to saving lives is an extraordinary inspiration to us all.
We also partner with and honor the American Friends of Magen David Adom (MDA) for their heroic commitment to saving lives in Israel. Our Blood Center is a proud MDA supporter and is prepared to supply Israel with blood in emergency situations.
Your blood donation can do a double mitzvah, and strengthens the US national blood supply, during the current blood emergency.
Please join us, support MDA, meet our MDA volunteer EMTs and Charlie the MDA therapy dog, salute our honoree, be a hero, and save a life!
Strict health, safety, and sanitary protocols will be maintained at all times. Please be healthy, be 17 to 75, (16 with NYBC signed parental consent form and proof of birthdate), weigh at least 110 lbs., and bring a NYBC donor card or a photo or signature ID.
Appointments preferred. Walk-ins welcome.
