On Friday, September 04, 2020, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr., and Democratic Candidate for the 85th Assembly District Kenny Burgos hosted an event to distribute food and personal protective equipment on the corner of Randall Avenue and Rosedale Avenue in Soundview.
Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. and Kenny Burgos were joined by Hip-Hop Pioneer Grandmaster Caz as they distributed thousands of masks, 520 bottles of hand sanitizer and 500 boxes of fresh produce provided by The Food Policy Team.
“CoViD-19 has impacted so many families in The Bronx and left many of our residents without food and resources during this time as we work together to “flatten the curve” and sustain lower infection rates,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. “Today we made it easier for hundreds of Bronxites to have a healthy meal and protect themselves against the spread of CoViD-19. Thank you to The Food Policy Team and everyone who partnered with us to organize this event and protect our communities.”
