Democrats Will Not Stand For A 13-Year-Old Cancer Survivor, But Will Kneel For A Criminal

President Donald Trump’s second Joint Address to Congress exposed, once again, the blatant hypocrisy of the Democratic Party. In one of the most disgraceful displays of partisan bitterness in recent memory, a number of Democratic lawmakers refused to stand and applaud a 13-year-old cancer survivor whom Trump honored as an honorary member of the U.S. Secret Service. Yet, these same Democrats had no problem kneeling for a criminal in 2020.

This moment underscored the Democrats’ true priorities: they will virtue signal when it suits their agenda but will not show basic respect for a child who overcame one of life’s toughest battles. This shameful behavior proves that the Democratic Party is more interested in political games and radical activism than in recognizing true courage and American values.

The Disgraceful Refusal to Stand

During Trump’s speech, he took time to recognize DJ, a brave 13-year-old boy who survived brain cancer. In an inspiring moment, the president announced that DJ would become an honorary member of the U.S. Secret Service, a move that was met with thunderous applause from Republicans and many in attendance.

However, as the cameras panned across the room, it became evident that several Democratic lawmakers refused to stand. Their petty, partisan refusal to acknowledge this young hero was nothing short of appalling. The moment should have been one of unity, but instead, it exposed the Democrats’ unwillingness to show support for anything associated with Trump, even if it meant dishonoring a cancer survivor.

If a 13-year-old child who beat cancer does not deserve a standing ovation from both sides of the aisle, who does? The fact that Democrats sat stone-faced while their Republican colleagues gave DJ the recognition he deserved speaks volumes about their character—or lack thereof.

But They Knelt for a Career Criminal

Contrast this disgraceful moment with what Democrats did in 2020. In an embarrassing and performative stunt, leading Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, donned Kente cloth stoles and kneeled in Emancipation Hall for eight minutes and 46 seconds to honor George Floyd, a convicted career criminal who had drugs in his system when he died in police custody.

While Floyd’s death was widely politicized by the left and used to push their radical anti-police agenda, his past was ignored. He had a history of crime, including armed robbery, and yet Democrats were more than willing to kneel for him. They exploited his death for political gain, using it to fuel the violent riots that led to destruction across American cities.

Why is it that the Democratic Party is so quick to show solidarity with criminals while refusing to show the same respect for innocent, hardworking Americans?

The Democrats’ Broken Moral Compass

This contrast between standing for DJ and kneeling for Floyd reveals an undeniable truth: Democrats have completely lost their moral compass. They choose who they support based on political expediency rather than fundamental values. Their decision to sit during Trump’s recognition of a young cancer survivor was not an accident—it was a deliberate choice to put politics above humanity.

This is the same party that supports open borders, defunding the police, and giving criminals lenient sentences while cracking down on law-abiding citizens. The same party that claims to be about “equity” and “justice” but remains silent as American cities are overrun with crime, illegal immigration, and drug crises.

What kind of message does this send to the American people? That Democrats would rather celebrate a convicted felon than honor a child who fought and won against cancer? That they will virtue signal when it benefits their woke agenda but will sit on their hands when it is time to recognize real American courage?

Performative Activism vs. Real Leadership

The hypocrisy on display is not surprising, but it is infuriating. Democrats specialize in performative activism. They wear Kente cloths, take a knee, and repeat slogans, but when it comes to taking real action to help Americans, they are nowhere to be found.

Under President Trump, real leadership is evident. Recognizing a young cancer survivor and making him an honorary member of the Secret Service is not just a symbolic act—it is a celebration of American resilience and strength. It is an example of the kind of leadership that uplifts people, rather than the divisive rhetoric the left constantly pushes.

Democrats, on the other hand, would rather tear down than build up. They push radical policies that harm American families, ignore law-abiding citizens while pandering to criminals, and refuse to acknowledge the bravery of an innocent child because doing so might make Trump look good.

The American People See Through This Hypocrisy

Democrats have once again exposed themselves as petty, bitter, and out of touch with real Americans. They think their refusal to stand for DJ went unnoticed, but the American people are watching. Voters are tired of seeing their leaders bow to criminals while ignoring true heroes.

This moment will not be forgotten. It serves as yet another example of why Americans are rejecting the radical left’s agenda and embracing Trump’s vision for the country. The Democrats may control the media narrative, but they cannot hide their own disgraceful behavior.

This November, voters will remember who stood for an innocent child and who refused to. They will remember who kneels for criminals and who stands for American heroes. And they will make their voices heard loud and clear at the ballot box.
