Dead Woman In Bronx Apartment Fire

Police say an elderly woman was killed and a 91-year-old man was critically injured in an apartment fire in Bronx.

It happened at about noon Thursday in an apartment on Johnson Avenue in Riverdale.

Police say 87-year-old Cornelia Dykshoorn was pronounced dead on arrival at New York Presbyterian Hospital. The man, who was not identified, was listed in critical condition.

No word on what caused the fire.
