Bronx Trio Charged With Possessing Fraudulent Credit Cards

Three Bronx men were arrested by State Police at Catskill for allegedly possessing 19 fraudulent credit cards that were used at several Catskill businesses to purchase Visa and MasterCard gift cards.

The men were arrested after their vehicle was stopped on Route 23 in the Town of Catskill on March 28 for erratic operation.

During the interview of the driver, one of the men fled, but was caught after a brief foot pursuit.

Counterfeit cash as well as the credit cards were found in the car.

Christian Jones, 19, was charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and several vehicle and traffic violations.

Desmond Nixon, 22, was charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and misdemeanor petit larceny.

Jordan Wright, 24, was charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of stolen property as well as obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and criminal impersonation, all misdemeanors.

All three are in to the Green County Jail.  Bail for Jones was set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.  Bail for Nixon and Wright is $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond each.

State police were assisted by the Greene County Sheriff’s office, Catskills Village Police and the US Secret Service.
