State police arrested a Bronx man on Sunday after, they said, he drove erratically on the Sprain Brook Parkway with a child in his car, striking three vehicles.
Troopers from the Hawthorne barracks charged Larry A. Burnham, 33, with second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.
State police said the arrest came after an investigation into an incident on the northbound side of the parkway in Greenburgh.
“The investigation revealed Burnham was operating his vehicle in an erratic and reckless manner which created a substantial risk of serious injury to the occupants of the three vehicles he struck,” state police said in a release. “During the time of the collisions, there was a child under the age of 17 in the front passenger seat of Burnham’s vehicle.”
Burnham is to appear in Town of Greenburgh Court on January 13, 2014.
