Brandon Smith, 18, Arrested; Adam De La Rosa, 17, Wanted

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached photograph, who is wanted in connection to a robbery, which occurred within the confines of the 40th Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday January 27, 2019, at approximately 2120 hours, inside the 3 Avenue / East 149 Street 2, 5 trains subway station, the 4 individuals punched the 18-year-old female victim in the face and head repeatedly and then removed her belt, her ski mask and a pair of earphones. The individual fled out of the station and ran southbound on Willis Avenue. The victim suffered pain, swelling and bruising to her face and neck; she was treated at the scene by EMS.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following two individuals have been arrested and charged on Tuesday, February 5, 2019:

A 18-year-old male was charged with robbery, assault and criminal possession of stolen property.

Charges:

  • robbery;
  • criminal possession of a weapon;
  • criminal posession of stolen property.

The following male is wanted for questioning in regard to the robbery.

Wanted:

Adam De La Rosa

He is described as a 17-year-old male, 5’9″ tall, weighing 140 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants and black sneakers.
