On Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 0504 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an MTA employee, who fell between tracks at the train yard, located at E. 239th Street and Furman Avenue, within the confines of the 47th Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.
Upon arrival police observed a 40-year-old male at the location, unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS also responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the male was a cleaner for the MTA, who was attempting to cross tracks and fell.
The NYC Medical Examiner to determine cause of death.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
