On Monday, April 26, 2021, at approximately 1838 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision, involving a motorcycle on the Bruckner Expressway, in the vicinity of the Pelham Parkway, within the confines of the 45th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 35-year-old male motorcyclist, lying on the roadway with trauma about the head and body.

EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that vehicle #1, a 2018 grey Triumph motorcycle, operated by the 35-year-old male, was traveling south bound on the Bruckner Expressway within the left lane, when the motorcyclist failed to properly navigate the roadway and slid across the concrete center divider. The motorcycle then fell to the roadway and slid across the pavement with the motorcyclist still seated on the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from the vehicle as the motorcycle subsequently slid across the roadway, traveling to the right shoulder, and coming to a rest.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
