Residents along Rhinlander Avenue in Morris Park are on the look out for a man with an axe, after the still-unknown assailant chopped down a recently planted tree.
Residents say they first thought it was done by Con Edison, who had been working in the area, but now believe it is a young man with emotional problems who lives in the area.
Residents were particularly concerned because the incident dealt with an axe and the targeted tree was across the street from St. Clare of Assisi School.
