On Thursday, July 01, 2021, at 0524 hours police responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian, struck by a vehicle at E. 156th Street and Brook Avenue, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival police observed a 67-year-old male, lying on the ground, with trauma to his head and leg.
EMS also responded and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined that the male was operating an e-bike and traveling westbound on E. 156th Street, when he collided with a sedan, traveling southbound on Brook Avenue.
The vehicle remained at the scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
