Police say two Bronx residents driving on Interstate 91 were charged with possession of cocaine.

Police say they stopped 29-year-old Casim Dwight Burns and 30-year-old Shelly Kelly Sanders on Interstate 91 near Brattleboro early Tuesday.

According to the news release, Sanders held an outstanding warrant for assault and robbery with a weapon. The pair were charged after a police dog alerted the trooper to the presence of drugs.

Police say both were held at the Southern State Correctional Facility due to lack of bail and will be arraigned in Windham Tuesday. It could not be immediately determined if Burns or Sanders had lawyers.
