Bronx Trio Arrested For The Murder Of Amir Ahmad, 26

On Friday, February 13, 2026, at approximately 0020 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) were informed by a 26-year-old male victim, that he was shot in the chest in front of 660 Thwaites Place, within the confines of the 49th Precinct in the Bronx.

The victim was transported by department vehicle to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following two (2) 18-year-old male, and one (1) 23-year-old female individuals were arrested and charged on February 20, 2026, at approximately 2010 hours, within the confines of the 49th Precinct.

  • robbery;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon – loaded firearm.

  • criminal possession of a weapon – loaded firearm.

Arrested:

Angelic Encarnacion

Charges:

  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon – loaded firearm.

The investigation remains ongoing.
