In the Bronx, where many elected officials may go unrecognized just a block away from their offices, Tina Forte stands out as a force of her own. Forte is one of the few non-incumbent candidates and non-party leaders to achieve both national recognition and the financial backing necessary to launch a formidable political campaign.

This election cycle, Forte secured the Bronx Republican Party endorsement, guaranteeing her spot on the ballot. Soon after, she also received the Bronx County Conservative Party endorsement, both of which came more easily this time than during her first campaign. This marks Forte’s second attempt to unseat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), and I sat down with her to discuss her progress and campaign strategy.
In 2022, Forte faced the typical hurdles that challengers encounter when running against well-established political figures—though hers were amplified by a national spotlight. “Since my last run for Congress, I have had to deal with a lot of personal and family matters,” she revealed. “It opened my eyes to what it really takes to run in this political climate. But you know what? I am a fighter, just like Donald J. Trump.”

When asked how her current campaign differs from the last, Forte was direct. “This year, I wanted to do things differently. I handled the issues that took my attention away before. Family always comes first for me—as a wife, mother, and caretaker, my family is my priority. But they have also been my biggest supporters and contributors.”
Forte’s fiery and unapologetic approach has earned her both loyal followers and vocal critics. “We are fighting an uphill battle,” she stated confidently. “I am a loud, proud woman, and I make no apologies for that. I have never done anything to harm anyone, and my supporters love me for being real.” And her support extends far beyond the Bronx; she has developed a following on the national stage.
Forte is widely known for her flag drops, rallies, and signature slogans—like those showcased on her website, FireAOC.com. But this time around, she is fine-tuning her strategy. By aligning with both the Bronx Conservative and Republican Parties, she has created a unified campaign office, an unprecedented move in Bronx politics.
With her Bronx base secured, Forte has shifted a significant amount of her attention to Queens. “I have been feeling the love from my supporters. Last year was tough, but my Bronx base is strong. I am focusing on Queens because that is where AOC’s damage is most visible. We need to get her out of office—she is destroying New York City and America, and I will not sit by and watch it happen.”
When asked about the changes she would make if elected, Forte roared with conviction: “My goal in office would be to control illegal immigration by securing the border, supporting small businesses, and fighting for common-sense values. It boggles my mind what elected officials are doing to destroy our lives. Even though this isn’t a national proposition, I am against Prop One in New York State. Similar issues are being fought across the country, and I will not stand for it.”
Forte’s strong conservative positions, including her pro-military and law enforcement stances, have won over suburban communities and blue-collar workers alike. She has also drawn urban support, including backing from groups like Black Lives MAGA. “I love that all these groups, organizations, and community members are rallying for me. But what is most important is that we work together,” she emphasized.
Taking aim at her opponent, Forte criticized AOC for avoiding debates. “AOC is scared to debate me. I have participated in several debates this year, and she did not show up to any of them. She is afraid, and I would be too, because the people are tired of her, and they want change. She knows she would lose, but it is not fair that she is denying the people what they want. But, of course, you will not see the media talking about that.”
As Election Day approaches, Tina Forte remains a formidable contender, determined to oust Ocasio-Cortez and reshape New York City’s political landscape. Her message is clear: she is in this fight for her family, her community, and her country.
